Victorian Treen Apothecary's Bottle Holder V971

A fine example of the 19th century medicine/chemist bottle holder. Turned from boxwood, with a fine and accurate screw thread, the slightly domed top has a pleasing cushion shaped base. It held an 8oz bottle (now empty). With only a natural fault in the wood, this handsome bottle holder is in excellent condition, and has a lovely nutty patina. Circa 1860
Height: 15cm
Base diameter: 7.3cm
