Georgian Mahogany Partners Desk
A fine quality Georgian double sided mahogany Partners Desk on bracket feet. With flame cut mahogany on the drawer fronts, crossbanding to the top, bordering a blood red tooled and gilded leather, it is a stunning piece of furniture. The back is fitted with cupboards below 2 drawers. The desk is unusual in having 2 long drawers in the top section. It is also smaller in width than most partners desks, whilst keeping a working depth, making it a great fit for a smart home office or living space. The desk has been raised off its original feet with wooden blocks and metal caps, possibly to give more knee room and facilitating movement, so we have left this as a useful enhancement. Circa 1800
