Georgian Mahogany Bureau. S146P

The glow of 18th century flame mahogany is captured in this handsome bureau. It is made of solid mahogany, with oak lined drawers. The 2 top end drawers open to become the rest for the writing surface. A fine fitted interior of drawers, pidgeon holes, including two pillared secret compartments, is in beautiful condition. Original Rococo brassware, along with the general high quality of this bureau, tells us that this was a very stylish piece of furniture in the late 18th century. The feet have been replaced and there are minor repairs to typical areas such as drawer edges, the condition is very good. Circa 1780.
