Victorian Bamboo Occasional Table
A most attractive occasional table that celebrates the vogue for bamboo furniture of the late 19th century. The octagonal top is lined with geometric panels of marbled paper, protected with a light varnish. The 4 legs of the base are artfully bent to give style and stability to the table, and are capped with brass feet. Each brass cap is impressed with a patent number, 238388. Circa 1890.
