19th Century Mahogany Extending Dining Table
A most attractive and versatile mahogany Dining Table dating from the mid 19th century. Made of fine quality solid mahogany, it has rounded corners and a shallow frieze that allows for good leg space. The 4 turned tapered legs, with convex reeding, have there original brass castors. The wooden extending mechanism slides out to accommodate any of the 3 extra leaves. As a square table it seats 6, with all the leaves in it can seat 10-12 depending on size of chairs and necessity. Circa 1840.
