Vintage Folk Art Whirly-Gig, Man Sawing Wood

A good working whirly-gig, from the 1st half of the 20th century. Probably made by the American Amish community, it has a man in a hat sawing a log. In front of him is a stack of wood. The whirly-gig is made of wood, with a mixture of painted and printed surface decoration. The moving mechanism, which drives the man and saw to move,is metal. It is in great conditionone side of the figure has lost some of its surface. A fine example of American folk art.
