1950's Beach Hut Facade
Redolent of summer beaches is this rescued facade of a wooden beach hut. It is painted yellow and blue, faded and perfectly distressed. The plank construction, 6 pane window with memories of other paint colours showing through, the driftwood to which an old piece of sailors rope, attached, forms the door handle...! It is an impressive piece of found folk art, difficult to date but probably from the 1950s/60s. It is heavy, but the construction allows it to be moved in 3 sections.
