Set of 1960s Dining Chairs by Meredew Furniture
Give "accent" to a room with this set of 6 dining chairs from the 1960's. They were made by the well-known furniture manufacturers Meredew. Having been in business since the 19th century, they embraced modernism in the 1950's and produced furniture that epitomised the period. These dining chairs show a restrained simplicity of design, featuring tapered turned uprights united by smooth rounded slats. They are finished with a high gloss black, a hard ebonised finish that has survived extremely well. The foam seats have been re-newed and re-upholstered. A modern classic, they are in very good condition.
