19th Century Oval Cast Iron Plaque of Wellington.

Celebrating one of Britain's finest soldiers, Arthur Wellesley, is a fine cast iron wall plaque. The 1st Duke of Wellington (one of his many titles, but the one which he is best known as) is seen as a 3-dimensional raised bust. He is dressed in a red military coat and displaying military honours. The plaque is cold painted, the figure on a black background with a gold border. Wellington died in 1852 this commemorative casting may have been made then, or earlier in 1815 to celebrate victory in the Battle of Waterloo.
