19th Century Turret Spice Box
19th century treen spice box, turned from a blonde wood, possibly pear wood or sycamore. It is fashioned as a turret with a crenated/scalloped top edge, and features fine black and white prints of Isle of Man historical attractions - Peel Castle, Douglas Head Lighthouse and the Tower of Refuge. Inside are 8 small turned spice pots. A rare and complete box in good condition, with only a few inevitable nicks/breaks to the fine edge and a glued break in the knob of the lid.
