18th Century Mahogany Brass Banded Tray

A Georgian oval mahogany tray. The gently sloping sides are constructed in the "coopered" fashion, individual sections held secured with brass bands. The handles are carved. Fine quality 18th century mahogany has given it longevity, with only a small stabilising repair to the base where the wood suffered some movement. Circa 1780
